Scarlet Witch and Vision Will Be Together Again on Disney’s Streaming Service
With Disney’s streaming service due to launch sometime in 2019, it’s no surprise that they’re doing everything possible to get some heavy hitters. They’ve been actively working to pull in as many unique titles as possible, from their princess line to Star Wars and even from the Marvel Universe. Here we have yet another announcement to get our hopes up for.
Other Marvel Series
So far we already knew that they would be doing Scarlet Witch and Loki series. Even more recently it was confirmed that Winter Soldier and Falcon series are in the works. We don’t know much about these shows, not even so much as the anticipated age range of the target audience. All we do know is that the original actors from the movies have all been pulled in to reprise their roles – a relief for many. Elizabeth Olsen will be reprising her role as Scarlet Witch. And now we know that Paul Bettany will be coming back to play Vision.
While there’s been no release date given on any of these shows, it’s assumed that most will launch during 2019 when the streaming service goes live. The theory is that this will be done to give the service a larger platform, increasing the odds of new viewers and subscribers. It’s a reasonable assumption, but it is still exactly that.
Scarlet Witch and Vision
When it was first announced that Scarlet Witch was getting her own series, a lot of fans assumed that we’d be seeing Vision at some point as well. Either he’d become another primary focus, or at least he’d be making appearances in some shape or form. The latest news seems to confirm that much, at least.
The thing fans aren’t sure about is how Disney and Marvel will explain the appearance of some of these characters. There are plenty of theories and options to go from. The show could be set between Civil War and Infinity War, for example. Or they could show us Scarlet Witch having visions of Vision. As silly as that phrasing makes it sound, this isn’t out of the ordinary for her character. Or, the resolution of the Infinity War plotline could open up more possibilities. However, if they’re counting on the latter option they’ll likely be forced to wait until the final movie airs before the series can officially drop.
