Sean Bean Targeted By Hitman 2 Players
Sean Bean is no stranger to death. In his long career in television and film, the Irish actor has died countless times. This ranges from being dropped off a radar dish by James Bond, to becoming an orc arrow pin cushion. And now, he is ready to die again, repeatedly, at your hands. Sean Bean will be the first Elusive Target for Hitman 2. Bean, who also served as the official trailer narrator, will portray Mark Faba, aka “The Undying”, a former MI5 agent turned assassin who often fakes his own death. In the reveal trailer, Faba has a heart to heart with his therapist, which does not end very well.
Bean Joins The Targets
Incidentally, Elusive Targets have been a major part of the Hitman game franchise since the relaunch in 2016. These are targets that give the player special rewards and bragging rights should they manage to track down and kill them. Often, they were based on celebrities with a backstory created for each of the targets. An infamous target, chosen by vote, was Gary Busey. Busey ended up being more of a cameo than a target, but was a gleeful participant in the event and took part in the ad campaign.
However, these targets do not last forever. They exist for a limited time, just a few days, and then disappear for a while, if not permanently. There are even certain restrictions on gameplay that only gives the player one chance to get their Elusive Target.
The Contract Set
Bean is likely to be the first of many Elusive Targets that players will be set against. Developers will likely announce more Elusive Targets as the game draws closer to launch.
Hitman 2 launches on November 20th on Playstation 4, XBox One, and Windows PC.
