The Mandalorian Season 3 Already Being Developed
The dust has barely settled on Disney Plus’s wildly popular first season of The Mandalorian and we are already hearing about season 3! Variety has the scoop that creator Jon Favreau has been writing the new season for quite some time now. Also that the art department has started to create some concept art for season 3 as well. They noted that the art department started working on the concepts on April 20th. Season 3 of The Mandalorian is already gearing up.
This Is the Way
Disney and the Mandalorian are also very lucky. They recently wrapped production of season 2 of The Mandalorian right before the COVID-19 shutdowns. That means season two is still on schedule for an October premiere date. A lot of other shows were not so lucky. With this being such a big hit, that is a big win for Disney right now.
With the news of season 3 in production, does not come any new news for Season 2. Not much is known about what is in store for the Mandalorian and the Child. We do know that Rosario Dawson is coming aboard as Ahsoka Tano. That has many fans excited that the Star Wars: The Clone Wars character will make her live-action debut.
We also know that Moff Gideon will play a larger role in season 2. What his Dark Saber has in store for the Mandalorian is anybody’s guess right now.
I think we are all clamoring for some “good news” at this point in time, and this is some good/happy news. I am not the biggest Star Wars fan, but like many others, I loved The Mandalorian. It has seemed to win over hardcores and casuals and bring in some new fans to the Universe. It is exciting to hear that season 2 is still on track and that the team is already geared up for a third season!
