Star Trek: Discovery Season Two Posters Unveiled
Star Trek: Discovery is about to return to CBS All Access for its sophomore run with Season Two. There are high expectations, and the Season Two trailer has done nothing to slow that down. With that being said, Trekkies now have these awesome character posters to feast on, which reintroduce us to the intrepid crew of the U.S.S. Discovery. These include characters coming together as allies, both new and old.
Season Two Posters Highlight Plot Details
The four season two posters courtesy of IGN each feature duos from the series. These include Commander Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) and Spock (Ethan Peck), Dr. Hugh Culber (Wilson Cruz) and Lt. Commander Paul Stamets (Anthony Rapp), Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) and Philippa Georgiou (Michelle Yeoh), along with Ensign Sylvia Tilly (Mary Wiseman) and Commander Saru (Doug Jones).
With each poster of the pairs, the background features a depiction of the U.S.S. Discovery flying through the middle to separate the characters. However, there appear to be red bursts interspersed within its trail. Not to mention that each poster carries the tagline “Exploration is Logical.”
This is a reference to Peck’s debut as Spock in the coming season. As for those mysterious red bursts plaguing the posters, they appear to be a central plot thread to Discovery’s Season Two mystery. From what has been shown in trailers and promotional material, the crew has to investigate and discover the cause behind these strange bursts that are appearing across space.
As well as an enigmatic figure that Spock has witnessed, known only as the Red Angel.
It’s a mystery that’s spawned lots of intriguing theories, which have included the mind-blowing idea that it could allow the series to tie into the Kelvin timeline. But let’s dive deeper on the story beats unveiled to us already!
