Raise Your Own Porg
From Ahch-To to your own home; for anyone who’s ever wanted to raise and train their own family of Porg good news! Lucasfilm’s ILMxLAB has released their first trailer for Star Wars: Project Porg
Project Porg is a new mixed reality experience from Lucasfilm’s ILMxLAB for the Magic Leap headset. It will let Star Wars fans raise their own Porg, the lovable alien birds from Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Porgs will follow along with the lines of the Tamagotchi and Nintendogs in becoming the next virtual pet for the whole family. You’ll be able to train it, care for, feed, and play with digital Porgs and it looks like great fun from the trailer released.
In a new trailer released today, we get a look at the pet sim’s setup. Initially, Chewbacca has left you with an unspecified device and a Porg. We also get a from C3-PO, telling you how to look after your virtual pet

The trailer also shows that In Project Porg, you will need work with them, gaining their trust and affection through treats and play. ILMxLAB creators explain how caring for the Porg is like any other pet; you’re teaching them how to manoeuvre real-world environments.
Star Wars: Project Porg was originally announced at Magic Leap’s LEAP conference in October. And it will arrive this December as a free digital download for the Magic Leap One. The original C-3PO, Anthony Daniels, will return to voice the iconic droid. Also involved is Star Wars animation supervisor Paul Kavanagh who will bring these little creatures to virtual life.
