Stranger Things Star Cites Exhaustion For Cancellation
Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown has cancelled an appearance at Collective Con in Jacksonville, E! Online reports. The thirteen year old actress took to Instagram to announce the cancellation. “Hey guys, I’ve never had to do one of these videos before. But I’ve had to cancel at Collective Con last minute, which is something I’ve never done and I’m planning on never doing again,” she stated. The convention in turn, tweeted, “A special message from Millie Bobby Brown! Get some rest and feel better soon. <3”
Brown has had a busy year, with the first Stranger Things season sweeping awards, the cast going to numerous conventions, and even attending New York Fashion Week. The amount of travel and work would tire out an adult, let alone a thirteen year old. Brown is showing great wisdom in stepping back her appearances for a while to rest up. This is a lesson even seasoned adult actors have yet to fully learn.
Season 2 On Its Way
However, Brown will have to rest up quickly, as the second season of Stranger Things has begun production, with no premiere date yet to be revealed. Recent cast additions have included Sean Astin as a rival to David Harbour’s sheriff. Both cast and crew seem to be excited to be getting back to the weird work that they do. Brown has scaled back her con appearances and travel to focus on the show, where she plays the mysterious 11. She states “I just think I’ve worked too hard and I have to rest as I’ve had a really long shoot and I’m still filming Stranger Things. I’m sorry to everyone who’s going and I promise you guys I’m going to get back to you. I love you guys all, thank you so much for your continued support and thank you.”
Stranger Things Season 2 arrives on Netflix on Halloween of this year.
