A new teaser trailer has been released for the upcoming film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. As reported by The Verge, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will star Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, and Dave Bautista. See the trailer below.
What’s in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 teaser trailer?
Since the trailer is only a teaser trailer (a little more than two minutes long), it focuses on what the five main characters are doing in a single scene rather than on the plot of the upcoming film. It seems like Drax (Bautista), Star-Lord (Pratt), and Gamora (Saldana) are all attacking some sort of alien in one particular scene. Meanwhile, Rocket Racoon (Cooper) attempts to explain to Baby Groot (Diesel), who was created after the climax of Guardians of the Galaxy, how not to set off an atomic bomb while their compatriots are busy doing something else. Unfortunately for everyone, baby Groot doesn’t seem to understand the whole “don’t push the red button” concept, so there’s a good chance that atomic bomb is going to go off while their compatriots are doing something else. Other notes from the trailer:
The trailer suggests that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is going to press the Star-Lord/Gamora ship further. At the end of the trailer, Star-Lord has an interaction with some sort of empath, who basically tells him, Gamora, and the whole room that he has the hots for Gamora. There continues to be a lot of action and music in the film (the title clearly refers to the second volume of the mixtape Star-Lord recieved in a Christmas present at the end of the last film). It looks kind of exciting, although about as bro-focused as the previous Guardians of the Galaxy film.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is set to premiere in theaters on 5 May 2017.
