Farrell and Nimoy: A Match Made in the Stars
Shared experience is the basis of a lot of human interaction. A lot of times, people who have been through similar experiences gravitate to one another. This effect is doubly true for those in the entertainment industry. Living a public life takes a toll, and many stars seek partners who can relate.
Such is the case with Terry Farrell and Adam Nimoy. Neither are household names, but they both work in entertainment. Farrell is an actress known for her work on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Nimoy is a television director and son of the actor who played Spock.
Officially, Farrell retired from acting in 2003 and moved to Hershey, PA to raise a family. In Hershey, she appeared in local theater productions with her then-husband, Brian Baker. After her stint in Pennsylvania, the actress divorced Baker in 2015.
Following the divorce, the actress and director began their relationship. In August 2017, Scott Mantz broke the news that the couple was engaged. Farrell verified the news, but the two remained quiet on the matter until last week. Once again employing their friend Scott Mantz (a Trekkie in his own right), the pair announced their nuptials at the San Francisco courthouse. The couple married on the groom’s father’s birthday, March 26th.
Celebrity relationships are just that: relationships. As such, not every detail is public business. Fortunately, the two are able to keep a low profile and fans respect their privacy. However, it’s always exciting to share a new life development with the world. Which is why we say congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Nimoy, and may they live long and prosper!
