The Final Season of Jessica Jones

Marvel, Jessica Jones, Netflix, and No Chill

Netflix just dropped a teaser of their last show in partnership with Marvel, Jessica Jones, and is set to air on June 14. The new teaser for Season 3 opens for some reason like a horror show with a POV shot looking down the hallway towards Jessica Jones’ office building with a voice coming over the phone calling her a cheat and a fraud. You know what? Take a look for yourself:

The Final Season

The past year or so, all the Marvel Netflix shows have been canceled due to the ever closer Disney+ streaming service that is set to be a direct competitor to Netflix. Jessica Jones is the last hero standing on the Netflix platform.

Now most sites talking about this story will go down the cast list and a quick retelling of where the characters stand for the start of this third season.

What I’m more interested in is something I haven’t seen many people talk about. What will happen to the show when the season is over and will it live on any other platform?

Seriously, I haven’t seen anyone bring up where these Marvel Netflix shows will live when the Disney and Netflix’s deal ends. Does Disney have the right to put the shows on their platform? Does Netflix get to keep them up? Or do they disappear as a casualty to our streaming future?

I believe that the Marvel shows are available on DVD and Blu-ray, but still, this is the first time we are really seeing something like this happen. I believe with all these companies starting their own streaming platforms, we’ll start to see more situations like this, but only time will tell.

Sound Off

So are you excited for season 3 of Jessica Jones? Where do you think it’ll live for the long haul? Are you going to get Disney+? Let me know down in the comments below.
