The Gifted Season 2 Gets Comic-Con Trailer
On July 21, Marvel released the trailer for Season 2 of The Gifted at San Diego Comic-Con.
At the end of Season 1 of The Gifted, Lorna Dane and half of the Mutant Underground decided to join the Cuckoo sisters and stop hiding. One of the people who left the Mutant Underground was Andy Strucker.
Marvel has released a description of Season 2 as well as the trailer below:
The description reads,
“The 20th Century Fox Television/Marvel series picks up after the explosion of the Atlanta Station. The Mutant Underground search for their friends and family who left with The Inner Circle. Having tracked them outside of Washington, D.C., they must contend with new groups with extreme ideologies, both human and mutant alike, to stave off a brewing conflict.”
The trailer shows how Lorna being pregnant is affecting her powers, thereby affecting the city. The trailer also introduces Reeve Page as a powerful member of the Inner Circle. Reeve Page is shown to be someone not to be messed with in any sense.
The split of the Mutant Underground seems to be hurting the rest of the team personally. They are still together but seem to be doing things separately to get over the loss of their team. That hurt and pain is what is probably causing more mutants to be captured by Sentinel Services, as seen in the trailer.
There is a moment where Reed Strucker is trying to activate his mutant gene once again. Lauren and Andy Strucker join hands while still angry with each other, which could cause serious damage.
Some of the final shots of the trailer show Lorna giving birth to her baby. While she is giving birth the building is starting to fall apart around them.
The second season of The Gifted will premiere on September 25 on FOX.
