G4 Promises to Return for a Holiday Reunion Special
Have you heard the news? G4 network—a fan favorite of the 2000s—is reportedly coming back for a 2020 Holiday Reunion Special.
G4 was once a major gaming network, hitting its peak during the mid and late 2000s. Since then, though, fans haven’t heard much about the network—despite their hopes to the contrary. Recently, it was the rumors of a return that kept fans going.
Let’s back up a moment: what is G4? If you’re relatively new to gaming, then you might not have any clue what we’re talking about here. G4 was popular back when high-speed internet wasn’t the given it is now. And thus, the platform made itself vital to many a fan and gamer out there. They offered commentary and news, all with a gaming spin, of course. There were major names attached to it as well, from Ron Funches to Morgan Webb, Adam Sessler, Kevin Pereira, Olivia Munn, and more.
As mentioned above, there have been rumors for a while now that G4 would be making a return. However, rumors should always be taken with a grain of salt. That’s why this latest announcement, straight from Ron Funches’ Twitter account, is so exciting.

The network intends to come back, at least for one holiday special. Perhaps there will be more, but for now, this is the one concrete piece to hold onto. It sounds like some of the original hosts will be coming back as well, based on Funches’ reference. Unfortunately, that’s about the extent of our knowledge about it—at present. There’s no release date for the G4 Holiday Reunion, or anything else that could tell fans more of what to expect.
With any luck and a keen eye on Twitter, fans will ideally learn more in the near future. In the meantime, we’ll do our best to keep you updated!
