Good Omens Released Another Trailer

Amazon Prime just released their newest trailer for Good Omens, and it’s suddenly starting to feel a lot more real. Along with this release, Amazon has been sharing character posters and other promo-related news.

Good Omens

Good Omens is based on a novel by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett are both known for their writing abilities, and yet Good Omens will almost always make into the top list for both sets of fans. That should say something about how exciting this adaptation is.

The Prime show’s casting choices have only served to fan the flames, so to speak. They’ve cast Michael Sheen as Aziraphale, and David Tennant as Crowley. For those that don’t know much about the story, those are the two largest roles in the novel/series. They also happen to be an angel and a demon, respectively.

Other actors involved in the project include Nick Offerman, Jon Hamm, Frances McDormand, and Benedict Cumberbatch.

The Trailer

The trailer is slightly over two and a half minutes long, and is exactly what we wanted to see. It perfectly sets the tone for the series, and gives us a pretty good idea of how Sheen and Tennant are planning on portraying their characters.

The music choice playing in the background was pure perfection. It combined well with the somewhat absurd and fantastical elements of the series, while also hinting at the underlying humor.

The trailer showed that they’re fully capable of including CGI on characters as needed, but were also okay with finding ways around it as well. It’s a good call. Additionally, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse were shown, along with several other vital characters. It’s proving to be an interesting adaptation, to put it mildly.

The series is due to launch on May 31st, so only a little bit more of a wait for us fans.
