TV News – Netflix’s New Series The OA Debuts Trailer

Are you as addicted to Netflix’s original series as we are? Can’t wait until the next one comes out? Well you won’t have to wait much longer. According to slashfilm the new Netflix produced series, The OA hits Netflix this Friday. Check out the trailer below:

Trailers and Science Fiction

What do we know of The OA? We know it falls into the science fiction genre and just like Netflix’s Stranger Things it involves a mystery that runs throughout the season. It’s a series that comes from the minds of science fiction lovers Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij. And the official synopsis is as follows:

The Netflix original series The OA, which launches this Friday, is from visionaries Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij (Sound of My Voice, The East), who created and wrote the eight chapter, mind-bending odyssey together.  The show begins with a missing blind girl in her twenties, Prairie Johnson (Brit Marling), who comes home to the community she grew up in with her sight restored. Some hail her a miracle, others a dangerous mystery, but Prairie won’t talk about her seven years missing with the FBI or her parents.”

Batmanglij directed all eight episodes of the series while Marling will portray the main character. Brit Marling heads a cast that also includes Scott Wilson, Phyllis Smith, Emory Cohen, Alice Krige, Patrick Gibson, Brendan Meyer and Jason Isaacs, along with newcomers Ian Alexander and Brandon Perea.

The OA seems to have a lot riding on it considering all the big names attached as executive producers (Jeremy Kleiner, Dede Gardner, Brad Pitt, and Sarah Esberg from Plan B along with Anonymous Content’s Michael Sugar and of course Batmanglij and Marling) so we hope it can be added to Netflix’s growing list of hit series.

The OA will be released this Friday December 16, 2016 on Netflix.
