Winter Soldier Post Credit Scene Spoiled

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is on its way to theaters on April 4th, 2014. As any good Marvel movie fan knows, the film doesn’t end when the credits start rolling. There’s an inevitable scene (or two) tacked onto the end of the credits (or spliced into the credits). With any of the individual character films, the scene is a bonus glimpse of what is to come. With The Avengers, it was the Shwarma scene, fun but not exactly wisdom from the oracle, and the reveal of Thanos.

Iron-Man 2‘s closing scene teased Thor. Captain America:The First Avenger concluded with the introduction of Nick Fury to Captain America and offered a sliver of the upcoming Avengers film. Most recently, Thor: The Dark World gave us a glimpse of the universe of the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy during their post credits scene.

Lainey Gossip has apparently seen the post credit scene for Winter Soldier, and is willing to name names. I’ll give you a nice break here, just in case you want to opt out before the spoilers.

Here there be spoilers. (Fer those of thee of a piratical inclination.)

Ms. Gossip had this to say:

… there’s a big reveal that general audiences won’t see coming (and ought to open some doors to fix that awful SHIELD show). But the thing that’s probably going to leave people talking the most is the post-credits stinger. They’re calling them “The Twins”, the brother-sister team of Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch, and they don’t look like any Marvel heroes we’ve met to date. Having seen them, I am really sad for Fox and the X-Men.

Looks like we get a direct link  into next years Avengers: Age of Ultron. Can’t say I’m not excited.
