Wonder Woman 2 Unleashes First Look at Cheetah
Although we won’t get to see Wonder Woman 2 for over a year, the team has been releasing a lot of information about the upcoming film. Most recently, Patty Jenkins has released a first look at the film’s villain, played by Kristen Wiig. Take a look at the tweet below.

This image shows Barbara Minerva as a normal person. It’s likely that she will be affected by something early in the film and become the more traditional Cheetah.
What We Know About Wonder Woman 2 So Far
We know a lot about what’s going to happen with a movie coming out in over a year. First of all, we know that the movie will be set in 1980s USA. Director Patty Jenkins expressed interest in bringing Diana to the United States. In addition, Jenkins seems to be milking the 1980s aesthetic, as shown in the above photo. Maybe Diana will wear shoulder pads!
Interestingly, there are two actors from the previous film confirmed returning. First is obviously Gal Gadot, playing the title character once again. Also returning is Chris Pine, who seems to be reprising his role as Steve Trevor. This reprise is more interesting, since Steve Trevor supposedly died in the last film. Is Chris Pine playing Steve Trevor’s ghost/zombie/hallucination? Or did Steve Trevor survive the plane explosion? Considering Diana’s reaction to his name in Justice League, it’s more likely to be the former.
There have been a few new actors announced for Wonder Woman 2. Those actors are Kristen Wiig (as shown above) and Pedro Pascal. Wiig’s role has been announced, but Pascal’s hasn’t. Lynda Carter was in talks, but hasn’t been officially announced as part of the film.
Wonder Woman 2 is scheduled to be released on 1 November 2019.
