The World of Twilight Zone Keeps Expanding
Three more actors have been added to the list of actors playing in the latest Twilight Zone series. It seems like everyone is just jumping at the chance to get involved in this production!
The classic series has recently been getting a lot of attention again, with the announcement of the reboot on the way. Many fans might have overlooked the latest version, had they not succeeded in getting a few vital heavy hitters to join the team.
Gerard McMurray (The First Purge) and Greg Yaitanes (Castle Rock, House, Lost) are directing, while Alex Rubens has been pulled in for writing. On the IMDb page, they have Rod Serling listed in the credits for writers. This could be something as simple as they’re giving him credit for the original ideas and characters that he created—a nice touch, certainly. Or it’s possible that they’re using old and untouched scripts by him. Personally, I’m hoping for the latter, though no news confirms this theory/hope.
As each episode’s cast is announced the hype seems to keep building for the newly rebooted series. Even though it isn’t due to release until 2019, it seems like it’s heading our way a lot sooner. At least, it feels that way, because of how much we keep talking about it.
The name of the episode on everybody’s lips this week is “Wunderkind.” While we don’t know much about the plot itself yet, we do know three of the actors have been cast for it. If their ability and status is anything to go by, then we know it’ll be a good episode.
Actors John Cho, Jacob Tremblay, and Allison Tolman have been pulled for this episode. John Cho is well known for his work in the latest Star Trek movies, as well as Sleepy Hollow, and countless walk-on roles in other TV shows. Jacob Tremblay is listed on IMDb as being involved in at least ten episodes. He’s known for his work in Room and Before I Wake. Allison Tolman has been in a lot of walk-on roles, but some of them are very iconic. She’s been in shows like Prison Break, Archer, and Mad Dogs.
